Influencer Denies Sexual Assault Accusations, Claims Dance Video was “Like Beyonce”

Social media influencer faces serious sexual assault allegations involving a minor, as court reveals unsettling footage. Her defense draws criticism. A 46-year-old social media influencer, known for her influential presence on social media, has been accused of sexual assault towards a minor under the age of 16. The allegations stem from a video allegedly showing her dancing with the minor hours before the alleged encounter. The teenager, who was responsible for capturing the footage, described the dance as “weirdly sexual.” The influencer denied two counts of forcible sexual intercourse involving a child under 16. Despite the charges against her, she maintains that she initiated an “incomplete kiss” with the boy, who she claimed reciprocated by laying on top of her. The court-authorized phone recording from July 2022 also revealed that the influencer had previously admitted to being “deluded” at the time of the kiss, mistaking herself for being 18.

The circumstances surrounding a 46-year-old woman, renowned for her influential presence on social media, have taken a decidedly more somber tone, with serious accusations of sexual assault toward a minor being aired in a court of law. The subject in question, seeking anonymity on the grounds of legality, has fervently denied two indictments of forcible sexual intercourse involving a child under the age of 16.

In a recent hearing at the NSW District Court, a video was revealed depicting the woman rhythmically dancing in front of the 14-year-old boy mere hours before an alleged encounter in bed together. The footage, dated mid-2021, captures the woman, poised in blue patterned tights and a black top, looking intently at the camera, swaying and flipping her hair to the beat.

The 14-year-old minor, who was responsible for capturing this peculiar footage, described the dance as “weirdly sexual.” In the course of her performance, the influencer is seen turning her back to the camera, rubbing her posterior, and twerking, her gaze fixated on the adolescent.

Emma Blizard, the Chief Prosecutor, questioned the accused about the sexual nature of her dance, to which the influencer unsettledly paralleled her routine to a typical Beyonce video claiming that, “most dancing is inherently sexual.”

The accused confessed to the jury that retroactively finding the footage was an “utterly mortifying” experience, impairing her trust significantly. Testimony at court revealed the influencer had consumed a substantial amount of alcohol, nearly a bottle and a half of wine, and was feeling dejected when she prowled into bed two hours after the dance.

The influencer attributed the initiation of what she categorized as an “incomplete kiss” to the minor, who she claimed reciprocated by laying on top of her. Although the charges against her include undressing the youth and engaging in explicit sexual acts, the social media influencer contended that she withdrew from the initial discomforting kiss and left thereafter.

In a court-authorized phone recording from July 2022, the influencer admitted to the young boy about her feelings of closeness to him. She confessed to getting her affection and attraction for the boy muddled up, as evidenced from a court-played call recording wherein she lightly chuckles while stating this.

In the courtroom, however, she clarified that her attraction was not physical but rather formed from a place of mental and emotional admiration toward the boy’s kindness and attentiveness. She also explicitly emphasized that any actual physical engagement felt awkward and wrong on her part.

Reliving portions of the recorded call, she admitted to being “deluded” at the time of the kiss, mistaking herself and the teen for being 18. Facing her attorney, Phillip Boulten SC, the influencer rationalized this whole episode as an irregular moment, which she was trying futilely to make sense of.

Humbled by the incident, the influencer relayed her shame over the kiss, expressing her desire to move beyond it. She attempted to appease the teenager, in hopes of deterring him from reporting his “baseless allegation.”

Another extract from the recorded conversation presented to the court, had her telling the 14-year-old that he was “a man now.” On being cross-examined, she conceded to not being entirely honest during this call.
